About Freedom for Immigrants’ 2026 Annual Appeal
Our Community Faces Unprecedented Attacks,
And Still We Rise
You Rose to the occasion!
As movements resist the coordinated attacks and chaos of this administration, the Freedom for Immigrants community has risen in solidarity — whether it be in the streets, on a detention hotline shift, or with a donation that fuels our work to close detention centers and release loved ones back to their families.
We’re excited to announce that you helped us exceed our $500,000 goal by 140%. To date, we’ve raised more than $700,000! These funds are critical in advancing key initiatives outlined in year two of our strategic plan.
Reaching our $500,000 goal will help sustain and grow our work to meet the increasing needs of our community
Your support is critical to ensuring we’re equipped to advance the key initiatives outlined in Year Two of our three-year Strategic Plan:
We’re hard at work distributing critical pro se legal materials and medical one-pagers to people inside so that they can better navigate and survive their time in detention.
We’re addressing the criminalization of BIPOC people by expanding our Project Keep Away helpline and in-person programming to disrupt the prison-to-ICE pipeline.
We’re holding Know Your Rights trainings for community members caged in prisons or facing jail time with immigration consequences.
We’re re-launching our IMMPrint storytelling publication, which serves as a vital platform for people inside detention to express themselves and share resources.
We’re launching our new and improved National Immigration Detention Map to provide crucial information and resources to detained people and organizers across the country.
We’re implementing our new Resource Mobilization Team, which will spend countless hours providing direct support to people in detention.
Finally, we’re strengthening our staff so that we are able to sustain ourselves and keep up with the increasing needs of our community.
While we celebrate this milestone, we know there is still much more work to do.
The funds raised through this appeal will allow us to continue expanding our programs while also launching new initiatives that respond to the growing needs of community members targeted by criminalization, immigration detention, and deportation.
We look forward to sharing more about this work in the months ahead. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to build resources, expand our organizing campaigns, and fight to end immigration detention.
We invite you to share the work of Freedom for Immigrants with others and continue to Take Action with us.
